Download Report (PDF | 347.41 KB) Insecurity Insight’s Protection in Danger open-source monitoring identified at least 8,026 incidents of threats and violence that took place at IDP/refugee camps, including temporary shelters between 01 January 2020 and December 2025. On average 111 incidents per month were identified, averaging 3.7 attacks every day. The average rose from 13 per month in 2020-2022, to 209 per month in 2025, reflecting both improved open-source reporting as well as a growing frequency in which protection settings in conflict come under attack.
